Welcome wannabe Washington Ballroom, Latin & Swing Dancers!

Our goal is to join with local dancers in Ballroom, Latin, Salsa & Rueda, Hustle, Swing, Argentine Tango & more of all levels to increase everyone's skills in this dynamic, incredibly popular sport. Most events are in social settings outside of the typical bar and night club scene & are open to everyone. Membership approval is not required. There are a lot of opportunities for training since in this country many don't know the social dances. So we're also making that available throughout the week.
I have always felt that those who care to try their hand at Ballroom, Latin and Swing dancing should have the opportunity to do so without paying a fortune for that privilege. The Washington DC Ballroom, Latin & Swing Dance Meetup Group will not require approval for membership as some others do, and is open to and welcomes anyone willing to make the effort; including all ages from school age to seniors, singles & couples, same-gender couples and the seeing & hearing impaired.
We will be hosting and attending specifically scheduled monthly Friday or Saturday "Dance-&-Learn Parties" (Visit www.PleaseDanceWithMe.com/danceandlearn.htm ) and weekly "Sunday Salsa, Argentine Tango & Rueda Socials" with classes starting from 1:30pm to 8pm and social dancing and practice after 7pm at the Chevy Chase Ballroom. If requested, we will even teach my all-time favorite, the "Michael Jackson's Thriller" dance routine after 9pm on Sundays (and I will teach you the original and authentic choreography down to the last detail...but only for those who DARE to try it!....).

PS: Please do not be affected by the low number of people who RSVP. Rarely people do, but they come anyway. So just come.
