"I started ballroom classes in September '05 - now I'm focusing on latin and swing. I knew I'd love it, but didn't realize how much. I used to teach tap dancing and jazz, and I'm a former competitive roller-skater (traditional, like ice dancing)."

"Yes, all of them at one time or another!"

What is your favorite ballroom dance?

"Salsa, cha-cha, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango. But any dancing is cool ... get me in a club anywhere and I'll be in the groove in no time ...!"

"After a long hiatus from dancing, I'm glad to be back. I'm working hard to fine-tune my skills and (bonus!) make new friends. Wanna dance?"

  "Would love to see more meetup members attend some of the events! :-). Don't be put off by the age of others who attend some venues - that's the point of our meetup group. To have a number of people in a younger age group attend these public events normally attended by an older (but extremely friendly and helpful!) age group. If you stay for one event, you'll probably return again and again!"
