The weekly Saturday Washington DC Latin, Ballroom & Swing Dance Training Meetup

Weekly Saturday Dance Class Meetup schedule at the Chevy Chase Ballroom. All classes are drop-in and will include review and new material each week:

(1) 9:30am-10:30am:
(A) Beginner "Red Hot Ballroom" in Ballroom, Latin, Swing and more for middle-school through high school (enough RSVP's required well in advance to determine if enough are available to hold a class).

(2) 10:30am-11:30am:
(A) Beg through adv "Red Hot Ballroom" for middle-school thru high school taught by Terry.
(B) Intermed thru adv Salsa & Rueda turn patterns taught by Mein.
(C) Beg thru intermed International Rumba, Cha Cha and Samba choreography and styling taught by Maria Del Mar.

(3) 11:30am-12:30pm:
(A) Beg Black-tie and Wedding social Ballroom & rhythm dances (Waltz, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Disco/Hustle or Tango).
(B) Beginner Salsa and Salsa Rueda patterns taught by Mein.
(C) Beg thru eventual intermed Bachata and Cumbia taught by Maria Del Mar.

(4) 12:00 Noon
(A) Beg Disco/Hustle taught by Terry Chasteen.

(5) 12:30pm-1:30pm:
(A) Beg thru intermed Swing (2 teachers at once w/ Terry & Mein).
(B) Beg thru int/adv C/W Two Step (2 teachers at once as needed).
(C) Beg thru intermed Latin body styling in all of the Latin dances to create more stylish body movement taught by Maria Del Mar.

(6) 3:00pm-3:45pm:
(A) Beg International style Slow Waltz and authentic Vernon & Irene Castle Hesitation Waltz.

(7) 3:45pm-4:30pm:
(A) Beginner and eventually thru intermed/advanced Viennese Waltz, including Viennese Waltz Formation material for those who care to perform in a future Viennese Waltz formation.

(8) 7:00pm-11:30pm (or possibly later) on specific Saturday and Friday evenings:
Dance-&-Learn Parties, which always include beginner mini-classes in all of the social dance styles, such as Ballroom, Salsa, Swing, Disco/Hustle, C/W, the social Latin dances and more (including a segment of the "Michael Jackson's Thriller" Dance routine), as well as beg and intermed Argentine Tango classes in the second studio from 9 - 9:30pm. All of this followed by an Argentine Tango beg/intermed Tango milonga in studio B. Dance-&-Learn Parties start at 7:00pm, with the Tango classes and milonga continuing in the second studio at 9:00pm in the second studio at the same time.
