DC Salsa, Rueda and Social Latin Dance & Music Meeting

Beginner and intermediate Salsa and/or Rueda patterns taught at the same time by Terry (beginners) and Maria Del Mar (intermediates) with Brazilian styling from 6:30pm to 7:15pm. This followed by advanced Salsa tricks and eventually Brazilian Samba classes - Carnaraval & eventually Gafieira, Brazilian Dance Mix classes - Lambada, Forro and Axe at 7:15pm (Which may change over time to include Samba Rock, Brazilian Bolero, Pagode, Vanerao, etc....).
Weekly social Black-tie & Wedding Ballroom and Swing will also be taught at the same time from at 7:15pm by Terry Chasteen.

6:30pm to 7:15pm:

7:15pm- 8pm:
(A) More advanced Salsa dips, tricks and drops plus eventually Brazilian Samba classes - Carnaraval & eventually Gafieira, Brazilian Dance Mix classes - Lambada, Forro and Axe (Which may change over time to include Samba Rock, Brazilian Bolero, Pagode, Vanerao, etc....).
(B) Social Black-tie & Wedding Ballroom and Swing taught at the same time from at 7:15pm by Terry Chasteen.

Learn the sexy, fun, fast & furious Brazilian Samba including styling and a number of different authentic Brazilian Samba patterns each week. You've seen them dance at the "Carnival" in Rio de Janeiro and during "Marti Gras" in New Orleans. This class includes styling and moves for both men & ladies that will make your dancing style in the clubs "Out of this World"! Prepare now for those HOT! dance clubs and Marti Gras parties.

AN ONGOING DROP-IN CLASS - NO PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE OR PARTNER REQUIRED
Other Salsa and Ballroom dance classes and workshops will take place on Sundays at 2pm and 4pm, Mondays at the YMCA, Dupont Circle at 7:30pm and 8:15pm, Beginner Salsa on Fridays at 6:30pm, and beginner and advanced Salsa on Saturdays at 10:30am and 11:15pm. Our monthly "Dance-&-Learn Parties" and the weekly "Sunday Salsa, Argentine Tango and Salsa Rueda Social Dance Parties" at the Chevy Chase Ballroom will also be playing dance music in all styles by request so you can put your new choreography to use. New patterns will be introduced weekly after review of those covered the week before. This class is for both men and women and includes a lot of styling.

Drop-in Beginner social Latin dances from 7:00pm - 8pm on Wednesdays at the Chevy Chase Ballroom taught by Terry Chasteen.
